    Rong is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist & educator who practices at the intersection of fashion, illustration, writing, and photography. She is the previous Director of ROSEGALLERY - a Santa Monica-based photography gallery. She holds a B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, as well as an M.A. in Experimental Humanities & Social Engagement from NYU. She is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Nonfiction Writing at Columbia University. 
     Trained as a fashion designer, Rong's apparel collections have a stylistic reference to streetwear with an emphasis on function, experimental spatial play, and creative construction. As the pattern maker of the CFDA member label Death to Tennis, the 2019 Spring Summer Collection, Rong helped lead production, received rave reviews from established publications. 

    Having continued her graduate education in the Experimental Humanities & Social Engagement, Rong's writing explores the creative possibilities of the linguistic from through experimental integrations of philosophical theories and visual elements. The essay "To Reason and To Feel" is an example of the experimental writing that is at the center of her current practice.
